So I decided to make a new note specifically on the project I'd like to do involving Caresse, my Night Elf Feral Druidess from World of Warcraft. Yes, actually, I am aware of how nerdy I am.

Now! Onto the fun part. Project details!

Okay, so basically, I want to do 8~12 postcards of Caresse venturing around Azeroth and Outlands as I was getting my Explorer title and tabard. I'm on a roleplay server, so everything you do has to be explained somehow. I quit WoW for a few months and had to explain why Caresse up and left her then-in-game-girlfriend, Lianora, whose real-life person, Lucy, was my then-real-life-girlfriend. Obviously, everyone has since broken up. Fun times.


Character info: (stolen from other journal)
Jewelry:
- Four earrings per ear, two small silver hoops by the tips of her ears, one silver cuff lower down, and a small stud connected to the cuff by a long silver chain.
- She also has a chest-length silver chain necklace with a crescent moon encasing it. I have this item in real life (it's part of my WIP Caresse cosplay), but I seem to have misplaced it. I'll get pictures up of it ASAP.

Tattoos/markings:
Caresse has a set of typical purple Druid facial markings, along with tribal-style armband tattoos (unseen because of the armbands that match the dress), paw print tattoos on her palms and feet, black wings tattooed on her shoulder blades, and a pair of eyes in the middle of her back between the wings. She has other tattoos, but they're covered by her dress.

-NOTE- For anyone considering commissioning Caresse, please DO NOT attempt to copy the drawing styles of these artists. I had one artist who, when shown a previously done commission, basically recreated the drawing (see the first and second links. the second is the copy.) That is NOT what I'm looking for. I want to see YOUR interpretation of my character. I want to see YOUR drawing style, not the ones I already have. Thanks.

BEWARE! ROLEPLAY CONTENT! (feel free to skip down a paragraph)
While Caresse was off exploring the world (and I was off.. living my life..), she kept journals depicting her journey. When she came to a notable location, such as a major Horde city, she would take a picture with her polaroid-like-camera and turn it into a postcard. On the front, she'd scribble silly things like, "Greetings from Undercity!" or, "Wish you were here!" On the back, she'd summarize where she was and how things were going. These postcards were meant to be sent to Lianora, but it's rather hard to send mail when you're deep in enemy territory. Once she reached Alliance territory, Caresse would send a bundle of postcards and letters to Lianora. Unfortunately, we found out after the fact that the gryphon carrying Caresse's postcards, along with many other mail carrier gryphons, were captured by pirates and held hostage under a 10 million gold ransom per creature. Finally, once the gryphons and post were rescued, the Alliance Central Postal Service was able to get things back in order and are going to very belatedly deliver the letters to Lianora. Unfortunately, by now, it's probably too late. She figures Caresse has forgotten her and has moved on. Will finding the bundle of letters change her mind? Dun dun duun!

Yeah, so basically, there'll be 8-12 postcards. Backgrounds can be blurred/edited screenshots from in-game. If you'd rather, you can do them yourself, but they need to resemble the actual in-game sites. Either way, up to you.
About half of the poses will be those silly "I took this myself so you can kinda see my arm in it and that's why I'm such an awkward position" poses matched up with silly faces, like Caresse sticking her tongue out and pulling her eyelid down to make fun of how ugly the Undead at Undercity are. The other half we can pretend she got someone else to take the photo or she put in a tree and used a timer... whatever works.

The point of this for ME the commissioner is both for roleplay purposes and personal reasons I may or may not share with whoever gets the job.
The point of this for YOU the artist is to try have fun playing around with my character. This could be a great chance to practice some coloring/inking techniques you've been playing with, work on being consistent with character depiction in multiple images from multiple angles, etc etc. Plus, you'll get about $100... and likely future commissions once I have more money. At the moment, ~$100 is all I can spare. I know that's not a lot of money for a considerable amount of work, so those of you wanting to make a lot of money easily, this is not the job for you. However, those wanting a reasonable amount for a relatively fun job (or so I like to think..), this could be a good way to practice, have some fun, and make some money.
